    How Vibe Story works

    1. Copy a vibe. Upload a screenshot of a story you like. The AI looks at it and writes down its style: colors, layout, font, filter.
    2. Add your stuff. Pick your photos and type your caption.
    3. Pick and save. You get 3 versions in that style. Tweak it and save the image to post.

    Your photos never leave your phone. Only the screenshot you're copying from goes to the AI.

    Who pays for the AI?

    Reading a screenshot uses AI, and AI costs money for whoever's key it runs on. Here's how it's decided:

    • In a group: the group's owner covers it. Each person gets a daily number of tries that the owner sets.
    • Your own key: if you add one, it's used when you're not in a group or your group's tries run out. You pay the AI company directly.
    • Neither: you can still use the built-in vibes and your saved styles, which don't use AI at all.

    Making the actual story image never uses AI, so it's always free.

    Groups

    • Anyone can create a group and share its invite link.
    • Opening the link only asks to join. The owner has to approve each person, so a forwarded link doesn't let strangers in.
    • If a link gets around, the owner can make a new one and the old one stops working.
    • Owners can remove people anytime.
    • If you own a group, you need to add an AI key to it, and members' tries come out of that key.

    Which key should I get?

    Gemini (Google): free. Free with daily limits, which is plenty for stories. On the free tier, Google may use what you send (the screenshots) to improve its AI.

    Anthropic (Claude): paid, best at matching vibes. About 1 to 3 cents per screenshot. You add credit up front and can set a monthly limit so it never surprises you.

    Keys are saved encrypted. Nobody, including the group owner or the app's admin, can see your key after you save it.

    Use the recovery code you saved when you signed up ("Forgot password?" on the log in screen). You'll get a new code after, so save that one too.
